Dr. Petar Hinic
Dr. Petar Hinic is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon offering a wide range of oral surgery services to his patients in Summit, NJ and in the surrounding communities. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics at Rutgers University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Following dental school, he completed a post-doctoral residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut.
In addition to his work at Summit Oral Surgery, Dr. Hinic is the section chief of oral and maxillofacial surgery at Overlook Medical Center. He is the past president of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (NJDSA), an organization dedicated to providing leadership and resources to the dental community in the practice of anesthesia, sedation, and pain management through evidence-based education, research, and outreach.
With patient safety and well-being as his top priority, Dr. Hinic is certified in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), holds a New Jersey General Anesthesia Permit, and conducts in annual office anesthesia safety inspections for dental providers throughout the state. Additionally, he maintains his board certification through the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Hinic lives nearby with his wife and their three children. When not taking care of his patients or spending time with his family, Dr. Hinic enjoys running, cycling, and kiteboarding.
